Teaching is incredibly rewarding. It’s about sharing knowledge, guiding learning, and adapting to each student’s needs. Effective teaching requires a blend of approaches to engage students and meet their learning styles.
Here are three tips I find particularly helpful:
- First, always smile and stay calm, especially with beginners. You don’t need to be strict. Patience and kindness go a long way.
- Second, I follow the “70-30 rule” in conversation-based lessons: 70% of the time, the student speaks, and 30% of the time, I speak. This encourages students to express their opinions and build confidence, especially in free-talking sessions.
- Third, love what you do and put your heart into it. Passion and happiness in work will naturally reflect in teaching and inspire students.”
